Staff Training Program
This year, Pet Care Services Association is expanding the educational opportunities at our Convention & Expo to include a collection of seminars geared toward working pet facility staff. To take place on October 13, 2009, the Staff Training Program offers pet care service providers with "need to know" information on customer service skills, playgroup safety, pet health and stress and dog behavior issues. The program will include an interactive round-table discussion with the presenters to facilitate the sharing of information important to the day to day functioning of a pet care facility.
Participate in the Following:
Extreme Client Service - Dr. Christine Merle, DVM: Actions speak louder than words! Learn how you can make the difference in your client and their pet’s experience.
Playgroup Safety - Susan Briggs, CKO: Learn how to keep yourself and your pet service staff safe by understanding canine body language.
Pet Health and Stress - Dr. Christine Merle, DVM: Learn from a veterinarian on how to recognize veterinary emergencies, special handling needs for nervous, chronically ill or older boarders.
Dogs, Training and a Different View - Susan Overfield: Dog obedience training and dog behavior modification methods and clinics for better behaved puppies and dogs.
