PCSA Members Profiled in Wall Street Journal
"Secret shopper" article profiles PCSA members
Five Pet Care Service Association members were recently profiled in the Wall Street Journal as a part of a "secret shopper" article the venerable business publication printed June 26, 2024. The article focused on the emerging pet care service of dog daycare and is viewed by PCSA as balanced and fair, as well as a great showcase of randomly selected PCSA members. Prior to the article being published, the Wall Street Journal contacted PCSA to determine how to select a pet care facility. Joseph Lyman, chief executive officer of the Pet Care Services Association, pointed the author to the "How to Selected a Pet Care Facility" booklet the association routinely offers to first-time customers, as well as the Find a Pet Care Facility area of the PCSA web site. Lyman says, "Although we are never able to write the story for reporters, it is extremely beneficial to the industry when a third-party publication such as the Wall Street Journal accurately depicts how happy the clients (dogs) are in their dog daycare experience." Lyman notes that a priority of the association is to reach out to media outlets and the public-at-large to tell the amazing story of quality pet care that members offer.
